Well my goal of reaching 10000 achievement points has been reached, I guess now I have to strive for 25000. Haven’t done a great deal of gaming, I have been sitting in front of a TV paying video games though but I kind of just waste time on them recently and not really dedicate myself to what I’m doing, I guess that’s what being unemployed does to you. I have just been playing the same combination of Xbox 360 games I’ve been playing before namely Lost Odyssey, Call of Duty and Forza Motorsport 2. Getting a lot of Lost Odyssey fatigue as there are a lot of things wrong with that game mostly to do with pacing and it just doesn’t have that same hook you get with Final Fantasy. One game I have been playing other than those staples is Condemned and Condemned 2, OK so that’s two games.
Condemned: Criminal Origins
For anyone who has not played Condemned they are really good games, I whole heartedly recommend them to everyone (provided you are over 18 those games are scary and violent). I’ve also been getting some semi-retro kicks playing some Halo, not Halo 3 but the original from when Halo was good, well passabe. I have never understood the rabid intense fanboyism for the Halo francise sure it’s a pretty solid console FPS but everything it does has been done somewhere else and has been done better. Sure it combines the best parts of other games in one package but what it is is just a patchwork quilt of a game. It’s probably just because I was raised with FPS games being almost a pure PC past time so I would always take Gordon Freeman over Master Chief.
I am looking forward to getting myself a copy of Wolfenstein as ID software are a highly respected FPS studio and I have many fond memories of Doom as well as having really enjoyed Return to Castle Wolfenstein. For my retro kick on the site I will look at Return to Castle Wolfenstein again to celebrate the release of Wolfenstein (man this can get confusing with the game titles) and see if that still stands up today.

I still don’t have Xbox Live Gold but I do plan to get it soon though as when I was suffering from swine flu and couldn’t go out I wanted nothing more than to just jump online on Call of Duty as shoot some fools (or most likely get shot a lot).
